WHY CHOOSE TOKO DOGS FOR TRAINING YOUR DOG?

What We Do

Having worked with numerous dogs who have struggled with reactivity, we have the knowledge and experience to build a customized training program for your dog’s behaviors. We will show you how to apply a balanced training approach giving you the tools to stop your dog’s barking, snapping, pulling and lunging, while building curiosity and the desire to engage!

How We Do It

Training a dog who overreacts to everyday distractions can be stressful, and implementing the correct techniques at the right time can be difficult. Your trainer will be able to provide you with a personalized roadmap to take your dog from frustrating to enjoyable.

Details of Our Programs

What to Expect

Our reactive dog training programs begin with basic obedience training, so that you learn how to engage with your dog and improve reliability. With a strong basis in obedience, you will have the tools to begin tackling your dog’s unwanted behaviors by implementing the Four Quadrants of Operant Conditioning and systematic adjustments to environment and distractions. Once your dog has proven their ability to perform in controlled environments, training will move into real-life situations so that you learn how to manage and control your dog’s behaviors no matter the context.

Duration

Dogs who need training for reactivity typically need 7-10 weeks of private sessions. Your dog’s program includes one year of on-going support which includes in-preson check-ins, phone, and email support! We are here to ensure that the changes we make through training are here to stay for the long-term!
